Telehealth
Connecting you to care, wherever you are
Through virtual platforms, our clients can engage in personalised therapy sessions from the comfort of their own homes, ensuring consistent support and progress. This approach maintains the effectiveness of traditional face-to-face therapy while accommodating the needs of today.
1
Accessibility
Telehealth removes geographical barriers, making it easier for our clients in remote or underserved areas to access quality speech pathology services. This convenience allows individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties to receive timely support without having to travel long distances.
2
Flexibility
With telehealth, our clients can schedule appointments that fit their personal and professional commitments, offering greater flexibility than traditional therapy sessions. This adaptability can lead to higher attendance rates and increased engagement, as clients are more likely to prioritise their therapy when it suits their lifestyle.
3
Comfort
Engaging in therapy from the comfort of one's own home can reduce anxiety for clients, especially those who may feel intimidated in a clinical environment. This familiar setting often encourages open communication, fostering a more relaxed atmosphere where clients can express themselves freely and effectively.
We use Microsoft Teams to deliver our online therapy sessions.
We use features like screen sharing to display visual aids, apps and promote active participation. The virtual whiteboard also facilitates brainstorming, allowing our clients to express ideas visually, fostering creativity and communication skills. We may record sessions for client review, supporting ongoing learning. Our therapists also use iPads to support a range of therapy areas through interactive games, language and speech apps, and biofeedback tools. We blend technology with evidence-based practice.
